Dressing Bones In New Skins is a poetic prayer for renewal - for the land, for the heart, and for the spirit. Todd speaks with a voice that ranges from Old Testament prophet to a lover's tender whisper. The poems are intimate and universal, rooted in place and soaring with mysticism. They are maps to help others explore the Territory, poems shaped from trying to understand our place in the Greater Place.

Bison Poems: Of Bison and the Great Plains, edited by Thomas G. Franti is now available for purchase from the University of Nebraska Center for Great Plains Studies. Poems by Todd appearing in the book are Heart of Everything, Original Language, Stinking Water, and We Bury Our Dead On Bison Plains.

Samizdat is Russian for self-published. Poems, novels, ideas, politics, criticism - anything banned by Soviet authorities - were hand-typed or mimeographed and passed around clandestinely.

Stinking Water, a selection of 39 poems by Richard Todd, is offered by DuneWorks in the spirit of samizdat.
