ABOUT TENDING A FIRE

I forgive you your pining.
It is trying, it is immature,
it does not allow for growth,
but it is not foolish.

You are trying to understand yourself
and that is always admirable.
You are a feeler, a romantic,
and you talk to yourself a lot.

You are probably also a masochist. 

I'm glad you still feel like writing to me
and I'm glad you are feeling lighter.
I am too.
There is a lot of humor here. 

My hair is gray.
